GENTLE PILATES
Pilates involves slow, controlled movements to help build up core muscle strength, with gentle stretching to aid flexibility and balance. Regular Pilates sessions can help develop muscle tone and increase joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension.
Chair based Pilates classes are great for improving posture and balance, and are suitable for people with reduced mobility, or who have difficulty getting down to the floor and would like the support of a chair.
Gentle standing and seated Pilates classes focus on exercises that strengthen the spine and increase joint stability and mobility, in order to improve general strength and flexibility for everyday tasks, with increased levels of stamina, improved balance, and general well-being.
Emma is certified to teach Pilates for older adults, Pilates for orthopaedic conditions and chair based Pilates, so has the ability to tailor and modify exercises to meet differing physical needs for all ages.
