Pilates helps to build a strong core, increases your strength and flexibility, and improves posture, stability and alignment. Undertaking Pilates classes focused on stability, strength and mobility can make athletes and sports enthusiasts more agile, help to prevent injury and increases dynamic movement and overall performance.

Pilates was first developed as a fundamental part of the fitness regime for professional dancers and gymnasts. Now, with a huge rise in popularity amongst professional sportspeople, elite athletes are including regular Pilates practice as part of their weekly training regime. Cristiano Ronaldo, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Victoria Pendleton and countless others have all publicly praised the effects of this training method.
